Summer Activities

The individual location of Långberget, 630 meters above sea level, offers an invitation to participate in exciting activities and view it's beautiful natural surroundings. Långbergets Sporthotell is surrounded by "infinite" areas of forests and mountains. Areas that are home to many wild animals. In these areas, it is possible to encounter traces of the bear, wolf and lynx, or to see a moose feeding from grass and bushes. If you take time to visit any of the lakes, there is also a possibility of encountering beavers.

With one of our experienced guides, you increase the chances of seeing and experiencing some of the area's wildlife. Each week Långberget organizes moose and beaver safaris where the participants are divided into small groups, taking you out to strategic locations in which there is a great chance of animal contact.

If you want to experience nature from a canoe, there is a great opportunity to explore the lakes that are not so frequently visited by people. You decide if you want to take a day trip or be gone for several days. If you are unaccustomed to paddle, we recommend a trip with the experienced hotel guides.

The areas around Långbergets Sporthotell has been used by locals for centuries. In the past, cattle were transfered from homesteads near the Klarälven to ie. "sätrar” in the mountains. Valhalla is an old säter that has been restored and is now back in service during the summer. Take a guided tour there and learn more about how people lived in northern Värmland in the past.
